Ellam Avan Seyal – Movie Review
Posted on November 29, 2008, under Miscellaneous.
Today, I went for a movie (Ellam Avan Seyal) starring R.K and directed by Shaji Kailas. The first half of the movie is pretty boring and the second half of the movie is not that bad, but you shouldn’t expect logics in the screenplay. Just watch the movie without any questions. Though it had got little twist in the story, but still its not a comeback movie for the Malayalam movie director, Shaji Kailas.
Verdict: Not worth of your money…..If you’re really screwed up and have time, then you may go for this movie, watch it at your own risk.
Starring: R.K, Aashish Vidyarthi, Vadivelu, Manivannan, Vijayakumar
Director: Shaji Kailas
Rating: 2/5
Cylone ‘Nisha’ thrashes Chennai
Posted on November 29, 2008, under Miscellaneous.
A Cyclone named Nisha, had thrashed chennai by its continuous rain for the last 3-4 days and i was like a house arrest and was not able to get out to office.
All the 3 sides leading to my way to office (Koyambedu, Saligrammam, Vadapalani) was cut off due to water logged upto the hips and all warned me not to venture into it as my bike would be off cos of hip level water was logged.
This rain has put the lives of Chennaihood in a question mark. All the roads connecting to others places has been totally cut off and people were roaming here and there it all looked like a war zone. This year, fortunately we moved to other place and thus we were safe and the water has not entered into our house. Thank God!
Here are the few pictures that i took.
NEFT Payment to Credit Cards
Posted on November 29, 2008, under Miscellaneous.
I have been bugged up dropping the cheque for Standard Charted Bank (SCB) and when i googled i got info, that i can pay the SCB Master Card Bills via NEFT from my ICICI Bank online bank account. To do a NEFT Transaction you need to know Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) and you’ll get it when you google it.
I have added a Payee in my ICICI favouring SCB Master card and also i made a successful transaction using NEFT.
Payee Nickname <your Preferred Nick Name>
Account No <16 Digit Credit Card Number>
Bank Name STANDARD CHARTERED BANK
Branch <Your City Branch>
MICR CODE <It will be automatically selected>
IFSC Code SCBL0036001 (This is the code for SCB)
Account Type SAVINGS ACCOUNT
Happy Bill Payment to your Credit Card!
Mumbai attacked by Terrorist
Posted on November 28, 2008, under Miscellaneous.
Its sad to hear that Terrorist had attacked the prestigious hotels like Taj, Trident and fresh new attacks in another hotel too. Earlier they had came via Boat from Pakisthan, says the Indian Foreign Affairs minister.
Shocked to hear that the death toll has increased to 100+ and few of our soldiers have also sacrificed their lives for us. A salute to Indian Army!
Validating the Remote Form in Rails
I was trying to validate a form which has a Ajax Request i.e. the form has form_remote_tag
<%= form_remote_tag(:html =>{:autocomplete => "off"}, :loading => "Element.show('search_spinner')",:complete => "Element.hide('search_spinner')", :url =>{ :controller => "/order_domain", :action => "lookup" }) -%>
After googling I found the :before filter can be used with Form Remote Tag
<%= form_remote_tag(:html =>{:autocomplete => "off"}, :loading => "Element.show('search_spinner')",:complete => "Element.hide('search_spinner')", :before=> "if (!check_domain_name()) {return false;}", :url =>{ :controller => "/order_domain", :action => "lookup" }) -%>
and now the validation is true then the Ajax request would be placed otherwise it return false.
